Since I don’t know how to cut my own hair, I unfortunately have to get someone else to do it for me….and I hate it every time I get it cut.
I will bring in a picture of what I want, and I will ask them "Can you do this and do I have the right kind of hair for it to look like this, because if not, I don’t want my hair cut." Not being rude. And then they will tell me yes, and I can tell when they are cutting it that it’s wrong. Or at least I think, but I can’t say anything because I don’t know how to cut hair! What do I tell them? And should you still pay for a haircut you don’t like?
And if I happen to like the haircut, which I doubt, how much should I tip at a salon?
You may have to shop around or get recommendations from people whose hair cuts you like.
It is hard to find a good hair stylist. Ask questions. Don’t feel like you shouldn’t. If something doesn’t seem right, just ask. Tell them that you don’t know but haven’t been happy with the way your hair has been cut in the past so you are wonderring if there was a reason they cut it the way they did. A good hair stylist will be more than happy to answer your questions and address your concerns. Speak up. It is your hair and you have to live with it. I usually tip about 20%.
I can’t help myself. i think i’m a hair dresser. i cut layers in my daughters hair like i know what i’m doing (which btw i dont). i even tried clippers on my sons hair. i learned the hard way those should only be operated by professionals….
every since i gave birth i suddenly think i can cut hair. did anyone else gain that skill as a parent?
i’m glad i could make you laugh. my work here is done.
actually my daughter is very cute w/her do. quite styling. maybe i missed my calling. although im not sure i could do it for a living thats too much power, what happens if someone ticks me off – opps sorry about that ear sir…
I only cut my 1st daughter’s hair. I didn’t want somebody to ruin it!! ha-ha! She has straight hair so it’s easy to cut. My 2nd daughter had curls so I never cut it, & never had anyone else cut it. I had my 3rd daughter in 04 & my oldest was 4 1/2 and my middle was 2 1/2. I had the baby home for 2 weeks and went upstairs one night to see what my 2 older girls were doing. They were very quiet! I opened the door to their bedroom and went in & saw all this white hair on the floor. I thought they had cut Barbie’s hair, but looked closer at it& there was so much & all these little curls. Then I saw my middle daughter hiding in the closet. My oldest daughter cut ALL of her hair off. Her hair was below her waist and had the prettiest curls too. Not any more! Olivia, my oldest, had cut all of her hair off and left just one little curl in the back. My baby was 2 1/2 years old an had a mullet! OMG! Olivia had cut her hair so short it was above her ears, she had no bangs, it was about 2 inches. I cried big time too!
So this is how I started taking my gilrs to have their hair cut by a professional. We haven’t had any more sister hair cuts! I think my youngest started going when she was 2. My oldest & my youngest have very thin straight hair and if it goes a while without a cut it looks stringy, so I like to keep it up so it looks nice.
I’m going for and extended trip to Weihai and will need a haircut before I leave – if you have been there and had your hair cut let me know.
If you do any "naughties" in China they will take the WHOLE of your head off, no worries about hair-cuts then.
My hair is right to my mid chest area and I am debating on cutting it. It’s been 11 weeks since my last hair cut. I also flat iron my hair every day but don’t have any split ends. How often do you cut your hair?
I get mine cut every 6months. My hair is pass my butt and healthy =)
I want them to know how to cut hair (I’m getting bangs), but I’m not exactly rolling in the dough.

Im seven months pregnant and need a hair cut real bad. I’ve heard its unhealthy to your baby to get a hair cut while pregnant. Is it really bad or just a crazy myth?
no. getting your hair cut is fine. you’re just supposed to avoid dying your hair while pregnant because of the chemicals in the dye.
Is it legal to cut hair free of charge, with out a license, but eccepting tips, out of your home in florida?
if you call it a home based business, then you would need a license,, if you call it cutting your friends hair, then you wouldnt,,, they can "gift" you a few dollars (aka tips) anytime they want to, and anyone can be your friend
From my site, http://www.lookgreat-loseweight-savemoney.com/ This video explains how to trim your own hair and get rid of split ends. If you have short hair it’s simply not possible to do using this method. Sorry:o) This method is great though for shoulder length or longer hair. You can get the latest hair tips on my site on this page. I’ve added lots of new pages and have lots of other pages coming soon. http://www.lookgreat-loseweight-savemoney.com/hair-tips.html

i loooovveeeee cutting hair. But i have never been trained. i just recently cut my hair and gave myself bangs. All of my friends love it. Some have asked me to do their hair for them.
Would you rather get your hair cut my me or a stylist?
My mom cuts my hair all the time, and she never went to beauty school or had any training. Some people just know how to cut hair, as long as you know what you’re doing, then I’m sure people will allow you to.
