ALEX’S BIO
Alex quite naturally was groomed for success in the barber/tonsorial business. His mother is a Author, Salon Owner and Licensed Master Cosmetologist of over 20 years back in his hometown of DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
Alex has been cutting hair since he was 13 years old. (23 years of total experience) He started cutting hair in his mothers salon, and that is where his love for Barbering started. Alex has always been fascinated with art and detail.
But his love for Barbering didn’t superceed his love for sports. Alex went to college in Atlanta, Ga and attended Morris Brown College on a full scholarship in 1991. He had an outstanding career in college and received ALL-AMERICAN honors 3 times as a placekicker and punter in football. He was ranked #1 in the country.
Although Alex had and outstanding career in football, he would still continue to cut hair throughout college and continue to fine tune his skills. In 1996, Alex signed as a Free-Agent with the Philadelphia Eagles under coach Danny Smith and Ray Rhodes. After being released after the 2nd preseason game, Alex returned to Atlanta and took on several different jobs before finally focusing on Barbering full time.
Since the Philadelphia Eagles, Alex has owned 2 Barbershops, built a successful clientele, is currently producing instructional haircut DVD’s and is currently employed at EXODUS BARBERSHOP in Stone Mountain Ga.

i want to have a girls night , we want go tanning then at home perm ,cut and dye are hairs can we do that all in the same day , we both have very long hair , none us have dyed , cut or perm are hair in a least 5 yrs.
alright, i would highly recommend waiting for a professional to do the perm. perms are super temper-mental. Leave it in for too long and your hair is fried, not long enough and it lasts for 2 weeks. especially considering you have long hair…leave it to a salon!
As far as the color, cut and tan. Go for it. Don’t color your hair black…because that is hard to reverse, even at a salon. That’s the only rule. Have fun!!
If you do decide to perm (and again…i don’t think you should), make sure you do it after the color and before the cut.
It is also important for you to know that perming your head after a color is a huge shock to your hair, and most professionals (good ones anyway) would ask you to wait at least 2 weeks before doing a second chemical service.

Tell her that if you use scissors at home with an un-pro, your hair may be damaged and un-even. It isn’t that expenxive for a cut at the salon. Tell your mom how you feel and that you prefer a salonist to cut you hair.
